The form is inspired by the massive pebbles inside Japanese Gardens, resembling large seats. The seating height remains close to the ground, referring to the eastern tradition, as well.
CONCEPT DESIGN
Proposal for a prototype seat, blending together Western and Eastern traditions of sitting. Minimalism and simplicity, as Zen-inspired features, are expressed through the use of a rhythm of vertical and horizontal elements in natural colours.The form is inspired by the massive pebbles inside Japanese Gardens, resembling large seats. MATERIALS
The materials used in the design are recyclable, biodegraded and non-toxic, while the parts of the construction are characterised by low production energy and easy disassembly.birch plywood, copper, thermoplastic polyourethane (TPU)
